Turkey & Greece Enchantment

DAY 1: MANILA – ISTANBUL (D)

• Depart Manila onboard your flight to Istanbul. Enjoy inflight meals and entertainment.
• Upon arrival, meet with your guide and have dinner at a local restaurant.
• Then transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 2: ISTANBUL – BOLU (B-L-D)

• Visit Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, St. Sophia (outside photo stop).
• Visit Beylerbeyi Palace and photo stop at Topkapi Palace.
• Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market.
• Drive to Bolu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: BOLU – ANKARA – CAPPADOCIA (B-L-D)

• After breakfast, drive to Ankara to visit Ataturk’s Mausoleum.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.
• Then transfer to Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA (B-L-D)

• Optional: Hot air balloon ride early in the morning if weather permits
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit the carpet and pottery making demonstration.
• Then proceed to visit Kaymakli Underground City.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.
• Visit Goreme Open Air Museum.
• Stop at Pigeon Valley and Uchisar castle.
• Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA – KONYA – PAMUKKALE (B-L-D)

• Drive to Konya.
• Stop at Sultanhan to view the biggest Caravanserai in Anatolia.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.
• Continue your drive and visit Mevlana Museum.
• Drive to Pamukkale for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: PAMUKKALE – EPHESUS – KUSADASI (B-L-D)

• Visit the Hierapolis and the cotton castle then have lunch at a local restaurant.
• Visit the ancient city of Ephesus.
• Transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: KUSADASI – CANAKKALE (B-L-D)

• Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
• This morning, visit the leather factory outlet and the showroom.
• Afterwards, proceed to visit the House of Virgin Mary.
• Have lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to Canakkale then check in to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: CANAKKALE – ISTANBUL (B-L-D)

• Visit the Archaeological Site of Troy, it was added to the World Heritage Cultural List of UNESCO, inviting history fans to its magnificent ancient settlement ruins.
• See the Trojan Horse.
• Cross Dardanelles strait by ferry and continue your drive to Istanbul.
• Dinner at a local restaurant.
• Proceed with the Bosphorus cruise in the evening.
• Check in to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 9: ISTANBUL – ATHENS (B)

• Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
• Rest of the day is free until transfer to the airport for your regional flight to Athens.
• Meet and assist upon arrival then transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight.

DAY 10: ATHENS CITY TOUR (B)

• Begin with a panoramic tour of Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann’s house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament.
• Next to the guided visit to the Acropolis, including the Propylae, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion.
• Continue with a guided visit to the Acropolis museum.
• Afternoon at leisure to explore Plaka, and some shopping at Ermou street.
• Return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 11: ATHENS – DELPHI – KALAMBAKA (B-D)

• Depart northwards towards Delphi.
• Admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk the Sacred way, and visit the temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the oracle), the Treasury of the Athenians, and the museum containing such masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture.
• Depart for Kalambaka, the town nesting on the foot of Meteora.
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 12: KALAMBAKA – METEORA – ATHENS (B)

• Visit Meteora with its impressive scenery, ageless Monasteries (2). suspended between earth and sky.
• Take the road back to Athens.
• Check in to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 13: ATHENS – PIRAEUS – SANTORINI BY FERRY (B)

• Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
• Transfer to the port of Piraeus to take a speed ferry to Santorini.
• Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 14: SANTORINI ISLAND TOUR (B)

• Drive to the picturesque village of Megalochori with the historical mansions, old traditional houses and pirate hideaways.
• Head up to Prophet Elias, the highest point of the island, for a short photo stop and viewing only from outside (no entrance is allowed) – in the monastery.
• See the black beach of Perivolos or Perissa.
• See Pyrgos village and visit a local winery for wine tasting.
• Visit the traditional settlement of Oia, hosts the most magnificent sunset views of Santorini and a picturesque road with cliffs on one side and sea on the other leads to this attractive town.
• Walk around and discover the typical Santorinian architecture.
• Return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 15: SANTORINI – ATHENS – MANILA (B)

• Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
• Transfer to the airport to take your domestic flight to Athens and to connect with your international flight back to Manila.

DAY 16: ARRIVAL MANILA

• Welcome back to Manila.
• Home sweet home!
